Introduction

Lanka Premier League (LPL) is a Sri Lanka-based professional franchise cricket league and its first edition was played in 2020. The tournament is played in the Twenty20 cricket format and consists of 5 teams named after five major cities in Sri Lanka. Recently, its fifth season is being played and Cricket fans are enjoying it because many international cricket stars are in action. Lanka Premier League LPL 2024 Schedule and Venues

The event will run from July 1 until July 21 2024 and will be played across three venues in Sri Lanka. A total of 24 matches are scheduled and the tournament format will be Double round-robin and playoffs. The opening match is scheduled between Kandy Falcons vs Dambulla Sixers at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Kandy. Here are details of venues for matches of the 2024 season:

R. Premadasa Stadium Colombo: It has a seating capacity of almost 35,000 spectators.

Rangri Dambulla International Stadium Dambulla: The stadium has a seating capacity of 16,000 for cricket lovers.

Pallekele International Cricket Stadium Kandy: It has a seating capacity of 35,000 for fans.
